How to surf the web again
The internet has forgotten how to surf the web. If something is not found on the same 5 socal media sties, then it does not exist. If a music track is not on spotify or apple music, then they think it's lost media. Then they bemoan how dead the internet is and how it's not fun anymore.
And yet, in the years i have spent on the indieweb, on neocities, nekoweb and in link directories, it's clear to me that the internet you remember is still alive and well, at least to an exent. It's just splintered. And with how search engines are now, they are hard to find.
On this page i have gathered a list of various sites, directories and resources to help you get started and go exploring. You don't realize how much time has passed once you get started with these sites. Suddently, you find yourself tuning in daily to your neocities dashboard or checking your bookmarked sites instead in the morning instead of opening twitter.
